Sesame Street Live! Make Your Magic (SSL2) Souvenir Program Book | Feld Entertainment, Inc.

Attached are poems and copy that I wrote for the Sesame Street Live! Make Your Magic souvenir program book that is available for purchase at each performance. The Feld Creative Services department was responsible for every stage of production of this program book, from project management, to concept creation, to collaboration with Sesame Workshop, to design, and copywriting.

Disney On Ice "Get Out and Skate" Campaign | Feld Entertainment, Inc.

In January 2018, I wrote the copy for Feld Entertainment's first annual DIsney On Ice "Get Out and Skate" campaign. I primarily collaborated with the Digital Department while writing this piece.

The copy that I wrote was published during National Skating Month, which is held every year from January through February. Ice rinks throughout the country typically offer free ice skating lessons during this time. The intent of Feld's campaign was two-fold — to promote ice skating as a sport and to highlight the incredible athletic ability and resilience of the Disney On ice skaters.

To participate in the campaign, Disney On Ice fans posted images of themselves on the ice along with the hashtag #GetOutandSkate on various social media platforms. The winner (randomly chosen) received complimentary Disney On Ice tickets as well as an ice skating lesson with professional Disney On Ice skaters

My article was extremely well-received by the Digital, Public Relations, and Disney Brand departments at Feld. All three departments promoted the campaign and the copy that I wrote was used again in 2019.

Disney On Ice presents Reach For The Stars | Feld Entertainment, Inc.

One day during my first year at Feld Entertainment, Inc., Brand invited a large number of employees from various departments into a large boardroom to brainstorm titles for Disney's newest show.

We all wrote our suggestions on a whiteboard. Brand selected their top picks and sent them to Disney Brand. Some months later, I was ecstatic to learn that one of my proposed titles, "Reach For The Stars," had been chosen!

Let Your Cup Runneth Over in California's Wine Country | Miles Media Group, LLP.

Featured here are screenshots of a piece I wrote as an editorial candidate for a position with a local travel marketing firm, Miles Media Group, LLP. The assignment required me to come up with five pitches relating to California's abundant and varied culinary scene. I then had to choose one of the pitches and write an accompanying introduction plus a few segments, e.g. location suggestions for visitors. Finally, I had to come up with five potential titles for the piece, which hypothetically would have been featured on various digital platforms.

Hot ListSRQ Magazine

During my internship at SRQ Magazine, I wrote for its annual "Hot List" edition in which the magazine covers local trends among businesses and socialites. The editor-in-chief assigned each of the interns trends to research. I was responsible for obtaining at least two sources for each trend, interviewing them, and writing 100 –120 words of original content (including original titles and subtitles) per trend.

SRQ DailySRQ Magazine

During my internship at SRQ Magazine, I wrote for its electronic publication, SRQ Daily.

Featured here is a piece I wrote after interviewing a local book author (my review can also be found on the Amazon page for the novel, available here).

Also featured are Wordsmith entries in which I wrote definitions for terms that had appeared in the most recent print edition of SRQ Magazine.

Senior Thesis | New College of Florida

Here are screenshots of the title page, introduction, and abstract of my senior thesis, a graduation requirement at New College of Florida. For a year I had been deeply immersed in the research, analysis, and one-on-one meetings with my professors required for successful completion of the thesis.

Writing the introduction and abstract to my thesis were surprisingly challenging tasks — I essentially condensed 70 pages of literary analysis into only a few pages that would explain the genesis and evolution of my project, as well as the Gothic genre's historical background and the overarching themes of the two novels that I focused on.
